Nadine Stefan has been a practicing artist for the past 30 years. Nature and its elements has been her source material throughout her career whether the final work is a painting, installation or photograph.  By observing seasonal changes, growth patterns and cycles inherent in the natural surroundings that are just outside her studio door, Nadine marries the human condition and the landscape as a synonymous relationship.

Nadine has received numerous grants and awards for her art over the past 30 years of her practice. She has also received fellowships as artist-in-residence at internationally recognized artist centers in Canada, USA, and India. Her work has been shown extensively and is represented in corporate collections, foundations and private collections nationally, in the USA and Europe. Private foundations and funding bodies to which Stefan has received grants and scholarships includes the Canada Council, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, the Joan Mitchell Foundation, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Foundation and the Sanskriti Foundation.
